Very curious and thought provoking commentary/article because Eva Mendes is beautiful and is greatly White in appearance, others perceive her as fully Mediterranean white. She was also involved with Denzel in films. In the porn industry a girl of Eva Mendes racial appearance would be considered White and advised not to perform with black men. The beautiful Selma Hayek had a love scene with Will too, also caused no fuss. As long as they're just not officially white, no offense?  ... Quote:  In 2005 ... it aint taboo in the real world, why would hollywierd be skiddish on it? next, ask me why i go bonkers when fellas ask if a certain latina does or did ir. if she's in mainstream porn she's 'doing ir'. just ask if she does brothas...
anyway, in this dumb, immature country, a mainstream hollywood film still wouldn't feature a jenn-jenn aniston in a incidental romance w/a brotha sans controversy, and dumb discussions on 'the view', and shit.

well there are very few movies that even have this mix...usually its white man/spanish woman...jennifer lopez has went to the bank on this, no one offended at all. dont know if people remember but there was a movie called "crazy/beautiful" that had many sexual scenes with Kirsten Dunst and a latino male. White people were not offened by that movie either...even though a white girl was involved. it would have been another story pairing her with a black man.
i guess its not all that offensive though because with that exact movie, hitch, they were afraid to put will smith with an actual black woman because they thought it would be considered a "black movie" but put a a spanish girl in there and the white people came in droves to watch it. black on black, oddly enough, would have offended white people or turned them away so to speak.
latinos are a group that can blend in very well, black people actually believe latinos are our best friends and they just simply blend in well with white people. as this is why jennifer lopez and all these spanish women are paired with white men all the time and neither whites or latinos care.
i dont think its about not being white...i think it has more to do with latinas ability to blend in well. cuz i really dont think u can pair him with an asian, people wouldn't be offended but they would just consider it a weird mix.
you even have latinos/latinas hosting on B.E.T....when u even get the pass to host on another races tv station...u know there is nothing they can do to offend us.

Very few movies have black romance in general. J-Lo did a love scene with Wes Snipes, and dated Puff. I don't recall any controversy either.
