Filesonic is basically gone, Megaupload is gone, Rapidshare is basically gone, Fileserve is gone.
The feds will go after the big torrent sites very quickly.
The internet illegal downloading world is in a state of flux.
All of the porn sharing forums (like this one) lived and died by the file hosting sites, and now most all of the big ones are useless.
This is a STRUCTURAL change. It's also the greatest thing to happen to the porn industry since MILFS.

Millions of horny guys have no access to the latest and dirtiest porn.
Grainy, old scenes on tube sites grow stale quickly, but most guys are unwilling to pay full price for porn.
But paying $20-$30 for porn sites, in this economy, EVERY MONTH, is just stupid.
But you can get back a large number of your old subscribers by lowering your pricing.

I would suggest you use this like how iphone app creators used the Christmas season.
iPhone and iPad apps prices were SLASHED during the holidays to get the subscribers in.
And they STILL make by far the most money of the year.
A top quality iPhone game(top tier games from Gameloft for example) costs AT LEAST half a million to develop (Objective C programmers COST!!)
Even then they still make crazy profits with 99 cent holiday pricing.
Simply because, 10-15 people spending 99 cents, beats 1 person spending $4.99.

Right now with your business model, you have 1 guy spending $30 for a membership, for every 10-20 guys illegally downloading.
But if you dropped the price to $4.99, those 10-20 guys will gladly jump at the chance to legally download without the hassle.
(You'd basically be pulling an iTunes...(i.e. easier to DL for a low price and no hassle)... but keeping all the profits for yourself.)
With the (perhaps temporary) closing of the filesharing sites, there's gonna be a lot of horny dudes with cum building up that would literally jump at their
computers if a good quality porn site had a $4.99 month deal. HD porn for a damn good price will get us back to being your customers.
We spend $10 a month for filesonic or megaupload subscriptions without thinking about it.
We would happily spend that money on $5 Bangbros and $5 Brazzers monthly subscriptions.


DO NOT let this opportunity pass you buy.
Do it before the filehosting 2.0 technology comes out.
Do it before the filesharing companies move to Russia or Romania.(note that oron.com is still business as usual.)

If they were smart they would but it would take the studios coming together and agreeing to set up a catalog ala iTunes Music store style.

Remarkable that this hasn't been done by anyone in the porn industry. Failure to adapt to the latest technology is never good for business.

I wholeheartedly agree with Tyrell Crimson. It dont take much to make porn except pull out a camera, shoot the fuck scene, edit and you got the final product in a matter of hours. Why should it cost $30-40? Thats just greed. If those porn companies wanna survive, they gotta lower the cost of their movies/website subscriptions.

The other element that made iTunes work so well is the ability to download by song. Artists quickly realized that they would give up 50,000 spending $9.99 to get the whole album for 2 million downloads of a single at $.99.

Lots of viewers are the same way: they don't want whole flicks. They just want scenes. I think the VideosZ model is a good one, but the pricing is definitely too high.

I would allow big membership with unlimited scenes (dl and viewing), individual scene purchase (for that hard-to-find scene), and a Tube version with lower quality, but with video advertising. If you had all kinds of content, you could make a good bit of money. I would say songs have higher replay values than scenes, so you allow a scene for $.25 or something, and only in MP4/WMV.

A one stop place for all of the *kinds* of buyers and viewers.

Yes I would spend $20 for 80 scenes. Still looking for some hard to find Annika Larue and Lani Kaluha.

The bright side for this site is that there will prolly be more pornstars and porn insiders participating in the site since filesharing will be defunct.
