Sony will not be at E3 2019
https://kotaku.com/sony-pulls-out-of-e3-2019-1830474052

The reason is that Sony doesn't have any new announcement at next year E3 because they showed trailers and gameplay from the last two previous E3 like The Last of Us Part II, Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding which doesn't look good. Those games are coming out for 2019 or 2020. The last two Sony E3 press conference was lacking. Another reason for this is that they are working on PS5 which they could announce at there PSX event late next year, and releases it in 2020. Also, Microsoft could release the next Xbox that year too. with all of that new studio, they brought we could see some new IP's on the next Xbox.

As for E3 there some companies had to pull out from the event, EA had their own event, and just this year Microsoft had their own event during E3 and X018. If Microsoft have X0 and Sony PSX as there own event and they both pull out of E3 then E3 is done. But with YouTube, Twitch and other media format they don't need E3 at all

Square Enix recently announced a new AAA title for PS5, so it's definitely coming, but I'd argue more for 2021 or 2022. Especially given SE's track record. I'd just hate to have bought a ps4 pro only to have it be outperformed in 4 years- and that's if I bought it day 1.
