I have seen Waiting To Exhale and How Stella Got Her Groove Back more times than I care to admit mostly because of my girlfriend at the time.

you're so right about Full Metal Jacket. After they leave basic training, turn the movie off

I liked the Negotiator because it was one of the few action films where the bad guy ACTUALLY GETS ARRESTED instead of being killed. Much of the Shoot First culture of today's police comes from the murderous endings of 70s, 80s, and 90s cop movies.
