IR-Tube.net changes you would like for 2019...

I think all updates, whether website or dvd, should go in the release thread. That thread should have a strict no comment policy, and any other thread is fair game. I also think onlyfan or fancentro or what ever should have its on thread or be included in the webcam thread.

This system doesn't work that way, and I'm not a programmer. I had to learn CSS on the fly just to get this site up, and I've forgotten most of it already.

So that's not feasible. You can flag posts, but someone still has to go in there and deal with those posts/discussions and hash them out. That takes time and my staff all have full time jobs.

Again, this is going to come down to you convincing the Mod staff to do this work. If they agree to it, I'll support it. I'm not going to demand this of them. So until you get them on board the status quo will remain.

I think you guys have a good thing going.  You've nudged, incentivized, discussion/participation and it has worked.

I may be in the minority here, but I think Shotgun is putting in too much effort to moderate posts.  If somebody gets on an open internet forum, and doesn't have the common sense to avoid endless argument, name-calling, and all the other crazy BS that people eventually complain about, then that is their problem.  Not the responsibility of the moderator.

So instead of policing the board, I suggest only responding to complaints. But with an eye also on the complainant. Does he have a history of complaints?  Is he is too thin-skinned to handle shit?  Does he constantly get into shouting-matches?  Same of course applies to the person being complained about.

There's enough political-correctness out there.  Shotgun and the other moderators also have lives and shit to attend to.  I dont think they need a gaggle of children here.

As to the Rep system; as I've stated in a post some time ago;  it indicates Reputation which takes time to build.  Maybe the moderators need to post a clear guide to what they feel earns a Rep.

Basically a list of scenes.  Only because searching normally can be a little overwhelming with the duplicates, similar names and different aliases for actresses.

Of course, I understand that even if there was nothing wrong with it, it would still be up to a dedicated soul to do something like that. I also have been able to find all he scenes I was looking for here, so it's not that serious. And thinking about it now,
if our ranks were ever infiltrated by a rabid fan or something they could fuck up links easier.

Otherwise, what ever happened to the whole likes giving you rep thing?

To your first point, I'm assuming you're talking about the Vault. That is Hoss' domain. PM him and submit your question. I've never used the vault, so I know almost nothing about it. I stream all my porn.

As to likes and Rep. Originally I wanted x number of likes to become 1 rep point. But the system won't do it that way. It will only allow 1 like to become x number of rep points. Witch sucks, because niggas have been super stingey with the rep around here, and dudes are having trouble getting to 5. This summer, when I have more time and less work, I'll look into a solution.

For the likes to rep system, is it possible to input a decimal or fraction, or is it only whole numbers? I'm only asking because I tried to do coding a couple years ago, so I know some systems don't accept certain things at all, or sometimes will spew out minutia if you don't think ahead (if someone had 3 likes they might get .3 repeating rep or some shit).

The only thing I'd want is something re: the Vault to allow for me to search for pro-am/amateur stuff or for stuff like M+/F scenes. The work put in by Hoss etc. is incredible... but I just (personally) to see pro-am/amater stuff and/or gangbangs ... and it seems pretty hard to find anything like that! (Or am I missing something?)

The personal attack rule is one thing I can't bend on. Conversations are way more productive now than they were before specifically because they do not devolve into name calling and shit throwing contests. Dudes actually have to argue the facts of their case, they can't just call each other f@ggots or uncle Tom.

Not only is the forum much more active on the discussion side than it ever was before, the quality of the discussion is the highest it's ever been. I may have messed up a few things around here, but this isn't one of them.

As a moderator, I can 100% vouch that trying to police threads is time consuming. Personally, I have received more hours on my job and I just got a new relationship which explain why I haven't been on the forum as much I have in the past.

I think Shotgun is doing an excellent job with the site and as of this posting, I can't think of any changes that need to be made.

They'd either need a tag system or someone to go through all the old vids and create a new specific thread. Kinda what I was talking about earlier in the thread. The problem is that either way, someone is either gonna go through everything and tag the stuff they like (I don't think they even have a tagging system btw), or go through good and dead links to create a thread for a specific fetish, actress or site.

AND THEN! That opens the issue of people complaining about things being in the wrong thread, or multiple threads of very similar things. In the case of the tagging, who is gonna be given the ability to edit posts (like a mod); and think about all the duplicate tags you see on xvideos or pornhub (ASS, ass, azz, Booty, big butt, juicy booty, pawg, swiggity swooty I'm comin' for that booty)...

This is a complicated thing... I'm just glad when I search "Jada Stevens" within the IR vault, I get all the IR scenes of Jada instead of the usual 2 or 3 repeated across 50 pages of mostly vanilla also repeated.

And beyond that, the search function we have is pretty robust. I would tweak some of those searches using the tools available. You can get pretty specific.

I have never used the Vault, so I kind of don't know that much about it. Inquiries regarding that section should be directed towards Hoss, he's the expert there. That's why he's got 7 million rep points.

How about you guys just make it a rule, then if someone violates it you get to it when you can, or not at all. And other posters can be like 'hey faggot dont post comments in this thread'. Kinda in a self manage sort of way. Just put out an alert on the change and let us commoner commenters sort thing out ourselves.
