I'll buy into this commercial when Tampax does an AD telling female teachers to stop fucking their students. Because toxic predatory behavior doesn't belong to a single gender.

I have no problem with the ad. I do believe bullying needs to stop. But I also have a problem when women send mixed signals. Don't come to me with your bullshit lame excuse about equality, when we men can't have our own space! When you give up your "all-female gyms" then we'll talk about equality.

I just find it funny how patronising it is, like this exists to be memed. Some moron in HR actually thought this was a good idea and gave some personality to their faceless hollow corporation that sells SHAVING PRODUCTS. You don’t see adds targeting all Muslims about extremism and how it’s their duty to stop it because they’re responsible for the actions of a few, all the while advertising beard wax. It’s like I’m in some weird parallel universe where irony and hypocrisy are lost on people. I just want to wake up. Send help.

Actually as dumb and tone deaf as the ad is, I think this was the point. By stirring up controversy they probably thought it would basically be free publicity like with Nike and Colin Kapernick, except instead of going after a slice of a political base they went after an entire gender - a gender that is their core demographic. This was their big mistake.

What makes the ad painful for me to watch is that instead of showing examples of positive masculine qualities and building from that, it was just a deluge of cartoonish stereotypes that if they switched to criticize minorities or women in the exact manner would've caused a real uproar. Funnily enough, like with Nike, Gillette's parent company Procter & Gamble have done so much corrupt shit (child slave labor, mass rainforest deforestation, multinational tax evasion, animal abuse, etc.) it's funny that they have the audacity to focus on "moral marketing."

Oh the hypocrisy...

Let not forget that the Patriots stadium is named Gillette Stadium which Gillette paid them for using the name rights
