This is pretty standard big city cop bullshit. Every major metro department engages in these kinds of harassment tactics.

I feel bad for these people, but the people in charge won't. They've tapped into white rage and the angry whites love these kinds of stories. Where we sit here and say, "oh those poor people" the Trumpers are like "yeah, get those fucking darkies".

It's just where we are in history, sadly.

They need a way to reinforce the law. US doesn't have an ID so I don't know how they are going to do that. The driver's license doesn't show citizenship. It's current legal to detain someone for a short period of time based solely on reasonable doubt. Otherwise, I don't think there is any way to effectively reinforce the law.
