EDIT. I added "Marvel movies in general, even by other studios (i.e., Fox and Sony)" so the discussion can be more inclusive.

The Marvel Studio controlled products have been outstanding but the Fox owned properties have been hit (X-Men I, II, First Class & Days of Future Past) and miss (Fantastic Four flicks). Spiderman which is owned by Sony/Columbia has been more hit (I & II) than miss (III). The new Spidey has been "fare to middling" IMO. I hope like hell that Marvel Studios gets control of The Fantastic Four because it was my favorite team oriented comic. The other studios don't stay as true to the original characters and stories from the comics for the real fans to identify with. Fox totally fucked up FF (Rise of the Silver Surfer), that's one of the best stories ever created in comic book history and those fools treated it like some damn non thinking Bruce Willis action flick! Luke Cages, Daredevil, Iron Fist , The Defenders, and Jessica Jones TV show are going to be only on Netflix next year. Agents of Shield return for an second season, season two will leave up to the Avengers sequel. Sony is release two of Spider-Man villain flicks Sinister Six and Venom. I hope they do an better job at Venom because in Spider-Man 3 they made him look small but hope they can make the character look big

Ever worst that the FF reboot is not that great, they already said this movie will bomb because the story isn't following the comic book and the cast. Since Fox have the film right X-Men they can also make some X-Men spinoff flick like Wolverine. They already talked of an Mystique, X-Force, and Deadpool flick. I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy today, it was an pretty good flick.

Glad you liked it! I haven't seen it yet, but will be seeing it next week for sure. I'm going to see it in IMAX 3D. I'm really looking forward to it.

I was very impressed with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. At the moment, the only MCU movie I'd rank above it is Marvel's The Avengers. That one still blows me away.

Yeah, GOTG was freakin' Marvelous! I took my kids to see it and they loved it too; the freakin' joint was packed. I read the comic back in the day and told them about the characters because GOTG was only a part time comic that came around ever so often. Wonder why they left Cosmo off the team even though he's in the flick as a prisoner of The Collector? Hope he is part of the team in the next flick that already has a future release date. This has got to be the most well received flick by reviewers since Cap's flick to start the summer season. It's expected to exceed 90 mil this weekend according to most sources in Hollywood.
