I was asking do you have access to analytics of what consumers are paying for, not for what scenes have actually been produced that you've personally collected. Anyone can collect any number of scenes they want and subjectively/arbitrarily decide if anything is too rough or not.

First, my comments were about what is being produced, not what is being purchased. Second, what you are proposing is hardly a reliable way of looking at it given that every consumer has different notions on what is or is not rough sex.

Regardless of whether you agree with my definition of rough sex I have at least been consistent in how I define it within my collection so I can absolutely see that there is in increase in rough sex compared to the scenes that were released several years ago. The fact that I download every IR scene from all of the majors regardless of whether it is a scene that I have an interest in viewing means that I have a better sampling  of what is being produced in the industry than what many consumer statistics are based on.

They are one and the same. What is being produced is being produced because it sells the most. That simple. Then how could you determine what is rough or not if that is indeed the case?

All that shows it that there is an increase in spanking/choking or what you constitute as those from the IR studios that you download from. That's subjective. I have my own archive and statistics as I'm sure others do as well. Like I said, there's not very much spanking/choking in IR scenes. Maybe it went up from .01% to .02%, which would be pretty noticeable to you since that's a 100% increase.

As someone who for the last 20 years has made a comfortable living in collecting, managing and analyzing data for retail and attractions I can tell you that they are not one in the same. You are focusing on one data point based on what you think the correlation should be while ignoring other data points that combine to paint the actual picture.

I've had to deal with a lot of business owners who have the same perspective as you and were surprised when the data showed them the bigger picture. Despite the availability of large volumes of data, there are still lots of businesses that for a wide variety of reasons are run based on assumptions, the porn industry is chest deep in operating based on gut feelings.

It appears every one of your comments so far about scene content are based on scenes that you had an interest in watching. Mine is based on the fact that I've been collecting in bulk and categorizing IR scenes for well over 15 years and it would go back even further if I ever took the time to digitize the 700 plus DVD's that I have although I probably already have digital versions of half the scenes. The fact that I primarily stick to the commercial sites and pulling down all their IR content regardless of whether or not I'll want to watch the scene means that I have very consistent data in what kinds of content they have been producing over the years.

I spend more time collecting porn or building the tools to harvest content in bulk and manage the collection than I do consuming it. Hell, I spend more time on this board than I do in consuming porn for fun. In a given week I might collect and categorize 150 scenes and maybe view  5-10 categorized ones for entertainment. In my lifetime I will never view my entire collection for fun, I just like having my own media library to pick and choose from when I am in the mood to consume porn for fun. It is like paying for all the premium cable channels just to have access to them, but only watching a several hours of TV a week. Judging by your comments it is highly doubtful that you understand what it means to view porn from that perspective and how much actual data it affords me.

I'm done wasting my time on this topic, I've got videos to categorize.

^^ You are incorrect. I'm a collector myself and I've stated in the past I have dedicated media servers for all of my IR porn. I have over 60TB's of IR porn and collect far more than I consume as well. Nothing you're telling me is something I haven't experienced for myself. I'm telling you, as someone who is as big of a collector or bigger, that you are a victim of hyperbole and are just remembering the negative more because it's negative, not actually because it is occurring so much. This is a common human flaw. You are as human as anyone else here and no less human than me, regardless of what you may assume.
